How to Join
The Commonwealth Dental Association (CDA) offers membership to various dental and medical associations within Commonwealth countries.
Membership Categories
Ordinary Member
- Eligibility: Open to National Dental Associations (NDAs) within Commonwealth member countries and their associated states and dependencies.
- Special Case: If a Commonwealth country does not have an NDA but has a Medical Association (NMA) or a Medical and Dental Association (NMDA), these associations can also become members of the CDA.
Associate Member
- Eligibility: Available to NDAs, NMAs, or NMDAs in Commonwealth countries with fewer than 20 registered dentists.
- Privileges: Associate Members have all the rights and privileges of Full Members, except the right to vote during the General Assembly.
- Transition to Ordinary Membership: If an Associate Member country registers 20 or more dentists within a year, it will transition to Ordinary Membership at the end of that year, with the appropriate subscription.
Responsibilities of Members
All members agree to:
- Uphold and be governed by the Constitution and By-laws of the CDA.
- Abide by the rulings and decisions of the General Assembly.
