President’s Message: Reflecting on the 2024–2026 Term

It has been a profound privilege to serve as President over the last two years. As I reflect on our journey from 2024 to 2026, I am filled with pride at the collective resilience and dedication our members have shown in advancing the mission of our Association.

Our term began with a clear focus on modernization and regional empowerment. Over the past twenty-four months, we have worked tirelessly to strengthen our foundational structures, ensuring that our professional community remains a vital and influential voice in the global healthcare landscape.

Key Pillars of the 2024–2026 Term:

  • Governance and Integrity: We prioritized constitutional compliance and administrative transparency. By formalizing our governance frameworks and aligning with international partner organizations, we have built a more stable platform for future leadership.
  • Knowledge Exchange and Education: Despite the challenges of operating across diverse time zones, our commitment to professional development never wavered. Through our successful series of clinical webinars and educational bulletins, we have bridged geographical gaps to share cutting-edge expertise and best practices.
  • Empowering Grassroots Initiatives: One of our greatest successes has been the revitalization of our small grants and local advocacy programs. By providing direct support to regional projects, we have empowered our member associations to lead impactful health campaigns within their own communities.
  • Digital Transformation: We recognized early in our term that a robust digital presence is essential. The migration and management of our online resources have ensured that our members have consistent access to the tools, records, and networks they need to thrive.

Looking Toward the Future

As we prepare for the upcoming Biennial General Meeting and the transition to a new Executive Committee, I am confident that the Association is on a sustainable and upward trajectory. We have addressed long-standing administrative hurdles and fostered a spirit of collaboration that will serve as the bedrock for our successors.

I want to extend my deepest gratitude to my colleagues on the Executive Committee, our administrative staff, and every member nation that contributed to our shared goals. Your volunteerism and passion are what make this Association a true family.

While my term as President concludes in 2026, my commitment to our shared vision remains steadfast. I look forward to supporting the incoming leadership as they continue the vital work of promoting health and professional excellence for all.

Warm regards,

Dr Parikshath Naidu

President (2024–2026)
